Marina Cons was born in 1960 in San Vito del Tagliamento. She graduated in Architecture at the Institute of Architecture in Venice in 1986. After a brief experience as a researcher at prof. Nicola Sinopoli’s Department of Technology, she worked in Trieste at Celli-Tognon studio until its closure in 1996, before becoming a freelancer. She died in 2012.

Product, jewels, stand, interior, exhibition design; architecture, renovations, new buildings, and also fashion, art, philosophy, technology, writing: these were the areas in which Marina Cons has moved freely throughout her professional life.

The question that needs to be asked is whether or not this is a typically feminine approach to architecture.

“Paradoxically design is beautiful when can be set free of its aesthetic value. Design is to establish a relationship between the object and its environment, the object and the urban space.”
Marina Cons
