Born in Gorizia in 1951, Barbara Fornasir is an architect working in Trieste. She is specialized in renovations and restorations of historical buildings, including the Interior Design. She has also designed the settings and organized many cultural events e.g. Trieste che si muove and Biennale Internazionale Donna.

Is a large wooden book/box which opens and closes, creating a small interior reading area. It was designed for Expo Belle Arti in Milan, where Barbara Fornasir also recreated a full-size version of the well-know bookshop 'Saba', which is actually located in via San Nicolò, Trieste.
