Mauro Pasquinelli is a designer, author of many chairs created during his long and successful career. Today octogenarian, he says: "I was born in Florence: I could never design chairs other than related to the perfect geometry of the architectures which have accompanied my life." The father, a carpenter, had a shop in San Frediano and there - says - "I learned the tricks of the trade."
These words sounds like a declaration of intents, which in terms of chairs means to combine formal cleaning, absolute comfort and original technical solutions. They are an expression of a culture project rooted in the tradition of rationalism and Scandinavian design.
Great connoisseur of "wood" as a material, Mauro Pasquinelli has designed over fifty chairs which are emblematic of excellent aesthetic and functional features.
Many of them for companies based in the "chair triangle", near Udine, Italy. This is the reason why MuDeFri decided to dedicate him an exhibition. An exhibition curated by Umberto Rovelli, director of the Museo of Design Toscano, to highlight the cooperation between MuDeTo and MuDeFri.
