I met Beppe Rocco in the early 80s, when I, with the Società Artisti e Designer (Anna Lombardi, Stefano Casciani e Paolo Scordia), had a studio/workshop in Viale Ledra, Udine. Beppe use to come for assembling his objects. Just like we used to do, he seamlessly ranged from creating sculptures to unusual design. We all were free people, numb to the idea of a career, broke and adventurous. The exhibition we did in his home,  in Via Nimis is memorable: “Other Industrial Products”, the first edition of what was going to become "Warehouse". It was 1983. Piermario Ciani photocopied something of whomever came in. He passed away too ... Then Beppe relocated to Spain and I moved to England. We met again at the end of the '90s to teach design at the IRES and to organize some exhibitions at INTERAZIONI. He was eventually visibly tired but strongly able to retain the skills of  a designer able to offer original solutions, to get the most from the least . This makes Beppe Rocco a great designer.
