A professional wanderer, Anna Aurora Lombardi has been a designer, a design journalist, a design researcher, and a teacher of Communication and Design. The establishment of the non-profit cultural association known as ‘Museo del Design of Friuli Venezia Giulia’ developed from one of her original ideas and sums all her above-mentioned experiences and interests up.

Born in 1956, after working in Milan with Alessandro Mendini, Anna Lombardi in 1983 founded SAD, ‘Società Artisti e Designer’ with Stefano Casciani and Paolo Scordia. She opened her studio in Udine in 1998 after spendinghaving spent few years in London. Among her works: she launched Fantoni Research Center (1999-2003), revolutionized the perception of Calligaris’ products by introducing the idea of lifestyles (2001-2002), overviewed the historical research for Snaidero, Fornasarig and Pozzi Ginori
